If you’re looking for a great sounding microphone for your gaming/youtube rig or as a musician and are on a very limited budget, the Behringer XM8500 is a great mic to start with.
You can typically find this microphone for around $20 US or $30 CDN. It is a dynamic microphone that does not require phantom power. It rejects alot of background noise and reflection. If your room is not a studio quality room, this microphone will give you a bit of forgiveness.
The Beghringer XM8500 is a XLR microphone so you will need an XLR cable and an audio interface or mixer to plug it into. Again if you are on a limited budget we reccomend the Behringer UM2 to go with it. This video was recorded using the Behringer XM8500 microphone, and the Behringer UM2 audio interface. Together with a decent XLR cable it should cost you just over $50 US.

Great sounding audio doesn’t have to cost you alot of money. It can be quite easy to step up your audio game from headset mic to studio mic. Please subscribe to our Youtube channel if you agree.
